Spring time at Big Cedar

Last weekend we had a sort of impromptu girls weekend at Big Cedar in Branson with my mom, Val, Charlotte and I. The weather was absolutely perfect so Saturday morning we got up and went to take some pics. After we took pictures, we had the mandatory day of shopping at the quilt store and outlet mall. It's funny how kiddos change your shopping habits. I only bought one shirt for myself and some stuff and the fabric store and everything else was for Charlotte. Hmm, oh well. Saturday night we ate dinner at the Mexican place at The Landing (I don't remember the name but it was very good). Charlotte didn't really eat much beacause she was more interested in the water, the bubble machines and then there was a two-man group outside putting on a "drum" show with a bunch of different sized buckets. She loved them. Mom has some pics on her camera but I didn't have mine with me. They were acutally pretty good and very entertaining.

Welcome Spring!!

So on the first day of Spring 2010, We got a foot of snow!! It was rediculous. Charlotte didn't really want to have anything to do with it so as soon as she fell asleep, Chris, Oscar and I headed out to play. Chris built this giagantic snow man and I made snow angels and then we had a snow ball fight with Oscar. He loved all the attention without Charlotte around.

The next week, I scored a couple of free tickets to the Razorback baseball game so we all three went and now Charlotte and I have both been to our first Razorback baseball game. Despite perfect weather, it wasn't very crowded so Charlotte had a good time running around checking everything out. The mascot kind of scared her when he got to close, but as long as he was at a distance, she enjoyed seeing him.

This brings us to Easter weekend. We had our Church egg hunt and picnic the Saturday before Easter and again had perfect weather. Charlotte was more into the hunt this year except that now she knows there's candy inside the eggs so everytime she found one, she would have to stop to see what was inside it and eat it immediately. Oh well, it was still fun! In the group pic, she's the shorty down in front on the right.

Here we are Easter Sunday. Mom made her dress again this year even after she'd already bought her a pretty one. I decided it's way too early to stop making Charlotte's Easter dresses because before you know it, she won't want to wear anything "home-made" and have to have the store-bought dresses. And I just like to know that mom made her dresses each year.
