Okay, here are the Pumpkin Patch pics from October that I promised about a month ago. It's almost December now, I'm really on top of things aren't I? Maybe I can get birthday pics up before Christmas!!

This one isn't really a good pic but it makes us laugh every time. It reminds us of the commercial for Captain Morgan Rum- "Got a little Captain in ya?"

October 2009

Here are a few pics from October. Chris's sister, Melanie, came up from Conway a few weeks ago to take some family pictures for us. These were all taken at the University in front of Old Main. Even though we had some storms that week, there were still some pretty leaves hanging on. It was super windy so that explains the "wind-blown look" we're all sporting. Charlotte seemed to have a pretty good time just running around wherever she wanted and made us all follow - but at least we got several different backgrounds! I still need to do a little cropping but I gotta find time for that later.

Pictures from the Pumpkin Patch are soon to follow...

Halloween Festivities

Here's my sweet pumpkin this year. It was a pretty intricate design so I actually bought a carving kit and a friend of ours recommended using the drill with a hand mixer attachment to clean out the insides. I just kept using it to make little stars. A lot of fun and much easier than trying to poke big holes in the big fat pumpkin.

We went to the First Baptisit Church Fall Festival last Sunday. There we got to walk around and visit different game booths and activities. Charlotte is still a little too small for most of the stuff but it was fun to just walk around and get candy. It was really hard to get her to smile because she was getting over a fever that day. She and I were both pretty tired of staying home all weekend so we thought this would be a good chance to get out.

This is the best full length shot I could get of her in costume.

Here they had the pony rides and since Charlotte's been learning about horses lately and she really liked watching them, we thought we'd give it a try. BIG mistake. She was terrified. We made it once around the ring before we had to get off and just watch from the sidelines.

This was the best time she had. They had a pool full of sand where you were supposed to dig out a treasure to collect your candy. She was just having fun playing in the sand.

We tried the bounce house once the line had died down and we could go in by ourselves. Another BIG mistake. She hated it.

Here are some pics from our church's Trunk or Treat event Friday night. I didn't really have a costume, just a wig (which was apparently pretty good bc there were several people there that didn't have a clue who I was). Chris combed his hair over and put on some old clothes and went as a guy from the 70s and then Charlotte was a lion of course.

I made the costume again this year, the only thing my mom helped on was the zipper. Not sure if I'll do it again next year - I had to start in August and I had some trouble getting it to fit. The head piece was definately the hardest and she absolutely HATED it. We put it on her for about five seconds - just long enough to get a picture and then it stayed in a bag the rest of the night.

Dad helped Charlotte get around to all the trunks full of candy. Apparently she not only collected some candy, but she also traded some and gave some of hers away .

Chris and Charlotte and our friends Luke and Annabelle Russell. So Cute!
